IDP is excited to announce its partnership with Resource Triangle Institute, Inc. (RTI) on the USAID-funded Shobai Miley Shikhi (Everyone Learns Together) Activity in Bangladesh that officially launched on November 20, 2022. The objective of the activity is to improve learning outcomes for children with disabilities in Government Primary Schools in Bangladesh through strengthening existing inclusive education reforms, introducing innovations to enhance inclusive school environments and instruction, and supporting parents’, caregivers’, and communities’ ability to provide inclusive education. IDP will provide technical support around Universal Design for Learning (UDL), inclusive instructional techniques for teachers, and capacity strengthening for government and school officials. During the start-up of the activity, IDP led the development and implementation of a Rapid Situational and Gender Analysis that surfaced stakeholders’ perceptions, motivations, and incentives to inform the design of activity interventions. Additionally, IDP delivered a two-day UDL workshop for Ministry of Education officials, activity staff, local disabled persons’ organizations (DPOs), and local NGOs and will continue to provide technical support to the project related to UDL. IDP looks forward to growing our partnership and connections in Bangladesh while supporting the Shobai Miley Shikhi Activity.
