IDP has conducted several situational analyses using multimodal approaches that fully engaged local stakeholders. These situational analyses can help identify barriers to participation and inform key duty bearers of their responsibilities for upholding the rights of persons with disabilities.
We have conducted a situational analysis of persons with disabilities in Lesotho and are currently assessing inclusive education programming in Egypt. Our Multi-Country Study on Inclusive Education (MCSIE) in Nepal, Cambodia, and Malawi also includes elements of situational analyses through areas of intervention mapping, comprehensive literature reviews, and inclusive education policy reviews. Previously, our co-founder conducted situational analyses on students with autism and neurodevelopmental disabilities in Bangladesh to inform strategic action planning at the government level.
