Sint Maarten

In Sint Maarten, IDP has partnered with the National Recovery Program Bureau (NRPB) to strengthen inclusive education and behavioral support in the island’s public schools. Our first project developed a web-based inclusive education training aligned with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport’s Special Needs Education Policy, building teachers’ capacity in areas like Universal Design for Learning and positive behavior support. Building on that foundation, IDP is now leading the Fostering Resilient Learning Project, strengthening the Educational Care Center Program at the Charles Leopold Bell School through a Train-the-Trainer program and a sustainable certification and monitoring system.

Together, these projects reflect IDP’s deepening work in Sint Maarten, from foundational teacher training to specialized, sustainable systems of support.
