Inclusive Employment

Worldwide, persons with disabilities are less likely to be employed and when employed are often engaged in the non-formal labor markets. In addition, IDP’s research in Africa shows the mothers of children with disabilities are less likely to be employed due to the lack of accessible childcare and services.

IDP applies evidence-practices and research findings to our work in inclusive employment and vocational education training (VET).  This includes conducting policy analysis, analyzing labor markets, and assessing social protection policies.  We have experience training teachers to support learners with disabilities to effectively transition to the workforce.
