Early Childhood Development

Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) provides the foundation for later academic learning, yet worldwide, learners with disabilities are often excluded from ECCE opportunities. This lack of access has a ripple effect related to the education of learners with disabilities and has profound impacts on the employment of caregivers, especially mothers. IDP has conducted groundbreaking research related to access to early childhood education and the effect that the lack of access to childcare has on mothers of children with disabilities.
We believe that teaching inclusively benefits ALL learners, irrespective of whether they have a known disability. Our team also has extensive experience supporting inclusive education from early childhood education through primary, secondary, and post-secondary education.
