Sint Maarten:
Web-Based Inclusive Education Training
Donor: National Recovery Program Bureau
Timeframe: September 2025 – August 2026
Teacher professional development for inclusive education is a strategic priority in Sint Maarten, where most teachers have not yet had the opportunity to access such training. Inclusive Development Partners (IDP) will lead this project by developing a web-based inclusive education training that is aligned with the recently established Special Needs Education (SNE) Policy of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport (MECYS). The training will address priority topics such as Universal Design for Learning (UDL), support to students with exceptionalities, positive behavior support, and more. In addition to developing a sustainable web-based inclusive education curriculum, we will provide accessible training resources (e.g., training manual, maintenance guides, a monitoring and evaluation framework, and strategies for incentivizing participation). The training will then be piloted and evaluated to test its effectiveness and gather feedback for potential revisions. The project is designed to strengthen teachers’ capacity to deliver inclusive, accessible, and equitable education for all learners

Project Highlights
